Makes: 16 patties
2 tsp. Henry's Canola Oil, plus 1 tablespoon
2 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and diced
3 tbsp. diced onion
1/2 tsp. rubbed sage
2 tsp. thyme
2 packages Gimme Lean Bulk Sausage (in a tube)
1/3 c. Henry's Market Organic Maple syrup
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
Heat oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add onions and apples and cook 3 minutes, until soft. Add sage and thyme. Place in a bowl. Add sausage, syrup, salt and pepper. Mix well. Form into 16 patties, about 2-inches across and 1/2-inch thick. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add sausage patties. Cook 2 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
