Marinate time: 2 hours - overnight, Prep time: 20 minutes, Serves 4
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Japanese sake (rice wine)
1/2 cup canola oil
3 Tbsp sesame oil
4 Tbsp ginger, peeled and minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 bunch organic green onions, finely chopped
1 gallon size recloseable bag
2 to 3 lb natural flank steak, trimmed

Mix first 7 ingredients in a plastic bag. Place steak in bag and refrigerate for 2 hours or
overnight. Prepare a hot fire in the grill. Brush grill with oil. Remove steak from
marinade and brush with oil. Grill steak for 6 to 10 minutes total cooking time,
turning once. Flank steak is best cooked medium rare or medium or between 130 degrees F to
140 degrees F. Check for desired doneness with meat thermometer. Transfer steak to platter
and loosely cover with foil. Allow meat to rest for 5 minutes. Thinly slice across the
grain and serve.
