There is something about the holidays that bring out the chocoholic in all of us. Indulge yourself or someone you love with this smooth, creamy, decadent sensation. Serve with a steaming cup of coffee.
Prep Time: 30 minutes, Serves 6

1 pound semisweet chocolate chips or chopped baking squares
4 eggs, separated, at room temperature
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups heavy cream, well chilled
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

1. Melt chocolate over double boiler.
2. Separate eggs, and whip egg whites in a dry clean bowl with salt until soft peaks form. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, whip cream until stiff. Set aside.
4. In a separate bowl, blend egg yolks with sugar and vanilla. Slowly add to the double boiler of melted chocolate and stir vigorously, until the egg yolks and sugar have been well mixed.
