How to Apply to the Henry's Farmers Market Giving Program
The intention of the Henry's Farmers Market Giving Program is to be an active participant in our communities to help foster positive relationships between Henry's Farmers Market and the local communities in which our stores do business. This is accomplished through several philanthropic programs, including: In-Kind Donations (products, volunteer hours or gift cards), Cash Register Fundraiser Programs, 5% Days, and Overstock Donations.
Our focus is to support innovative groups who strive to make the world a better place. To us, a better place is one where the environment is preserved and replenished, communities are strong, health is a priority, environmental sustainability is cherished, and where all living beings are respected.
Henry's Farmers Market typically does not provide any form of support for organizations with budgets exceeding $1 million; organizations with administrative costs, or an overhead, that exceeds 15% of their budget; organizations that directly test on animals; organizations that discriminate in any way; or organizations that use harassment, intimidation or other “militant” actions to communicate their message.
Each non-profit organization must abide by Henry's Farmers Market non-solicitation policy when participating in our giving programs on store premises. They are only allowed to educate customers about their cause and are not allowed to solicit donations or memberships while in our stores.

In addition, monetary donations and sponsorships are available through the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation, which gives back to the communities we serve by supporting an array of charities and important causes. The Smart & Final Charitable Foundation uses the Sponsorwise online submission system to receive and objectively evaluate all donation and sponsorship requests. Do to the large volume of requests, the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation does not accept these requests via any other method.
