Thanksgiving
So, the guests have gone, the dishes are done and you’re left with a refrigerator full of leftovers. What to do with leftover turkey, broccoli, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce? We say enjoy them over the next couple of days with our secrets for turning Thanksgiving favorites into great tasting appetizers, soups and stews — that you’ll be thankful for over and over again.
- To ensure leftovers are stored properly, refrigerate as soon as dinner is over.
- Remove turkey meat from the bone and store in a re-sealable plastic bag. Cover with a wet paper towel to keep turkey moist.
- Remove stuffing from turkey and refrigerate.
- Cover and refrigerate cranberry sauce, gravy and vegetables.
- Enjoy everything within a couple of days, except for the cranberry sauce which will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator.
