Quarterback Hummus with Toasted Pita Sticks

What make a good football game even better? This tasty recipe of course! Made with fresh hummus and crispy pita sticks, it's sure to be a winner.
Prep Time: 10 minutes, Cook Time: 15 minutes, Serves 4

1 (16 oz) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
3 Tbsp tahini
3 garlic cloves, minced
juice of one lemon
1 Tbsp Sun Harvest Olive Oil
1 tsp cumin
pinch of cayenne
salt to taste

Put all the above ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Thin with a little water if hummus is too thick. Chill and serve with toasted pita sticks.

Toasted Pita Sticks

1 package Organic Whole-Wheat Pita Bread
3 Tbsp Organic Olive Oil
2 tsp. dill
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. garlic
1 Tbsp sea salt

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut pita into 1-inch strips or 6 triangles. Arrange on a cookie sheet. Brush the top of each pita evenly with oil. Mix the dill, oregano, basil, paprika, garlic and sea salt together and sprinkle evenly over the pitas. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until browned and crispy.
