Prep Time: 30 minutes, Cook Time: 15 minutes, Makes: 8 naan
2 c. organic unbleached flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. Henry's Organic Milk, warm
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. activated dry yeast
1 c. organic yogurt
3 Tbsp. Henry's Organic Butter, melted
1 Henry's Large Egg
1 bulb roasted garlic, chopped
1 Henry's Large Egg Yolk, beaten
2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 450°F. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Pour the warmed milk into a separate bowl, stir in yeast. Let sit for 2 minutes. Whisk in yogurt, butter, egg and garlic. Make a well in the flour, pour in the wet mixture and mix until smooth. Knead for 10 minutes or about 2 minutes in food processor. Dough should be elastic but not sticky. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky. Put in an oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise until doubled in size (about 3 to 4 hours). Divide dough into 8 pieces. Knead lightly and roll into a disc, about 1/4 inch thick. Place on baking sheet, cover and allow to rise (about 15 minutes). Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Note: If making ahead, bake for 5 to 6 minutes, until just turning golden brown. Cool, place in plastic freezer bag and freeze.
