Prep Time: 20 minutes. Cook Time: 12 minutes, Serves 6
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 pound natural ground beef
1 Tbsp. Henry's Stone Ground Mustard
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. canola oil
Cheddar Cheese, sliced into 2-inch squares
12 Dinner Rolls (white or wheat)
Yellow Mustard
Ketchup
Pickles, cut to fit the mini-buns
Slice dinner rolls and arrange the bottoms of the buns on a platter. Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions in olive oil for about 5 minutes or until they are caramelized. Set aside. Mix ground beef, mustard, ketchup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper together. Divide into 12 equal pieces and form 3-inch patties. In a large skillet, heat oil and sear patties for 2 minutes on each side. (or to desired doneness). Place a cheese slice on each patty, cover for 30 seconds or until the cheese melts. Place each patty on a bun and cover with top. Serve with grilled onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard.
