Simple Seared Salmon

Salmon, especially wild salmon, is a smart choice to enhance healthy brain function. It’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids shown to improve memory and concentration, and it’s easy to prepare. A simple marinade and a quick sear on the grill...and dinner is on the table.
Total Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 4

1/2 c. tamari
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. agave nectar
2 Tbsp. grated ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. diced green onion
4 (6 oz.) salmon fillets, 1-inch thick
2 tsp. canola oil

Mix together first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Add salmon. Refrigerate for a 1/2-hour. Heat oil in pan over medium high heat. Pat salmon dry and sear 5 minutes per side.
