Tempeh is a soybean product that offers a nutty, great tasting source of low fat protein. Steaming helps soften the tempeh, giving it a great texture that soaks in the flavors of the marinade- making it perfect on the grill. Versatile and easy to use, tempeh is delicious sliced into planks, barbecued in a sweet, tangy sauce, piled on a whole-wheat bun and topped with tangy coleslaw. Or cut into cubes and skewered with onions, corn on the cob and red peppers and grilled.
