Wasabi Deviled Eggs

TIP: Buy eggs a week before you plan to use them. “Older” eggs (not older than the use by date) are easier to peel when boiled.

Cook Time: 20 minutes, Makes 2 dozen

1 dozen Henry's Large Eggs, hard boiled
1/3 c. organic mayonnaise
1 tbsp. wasabi powder or paste (or to taste)
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. garlic
1/4 tsp. five spice powder
2 tsp. black sesame seeds

Peel eggs and cut in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl. Place egg white halves on a baking sheet or deviled egg plate. Mash yolks with a fork and stir in mayonnaise, wasabi, ginger and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon into egg whites, or place filling into a pastry bag fitted with a large fluted tip. Pipe filling decoratively into egg whites. Sprinkle black sesame seeds. Enjoy immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
